HEACHAM F C

THE TEAMS

1ST TEAM (playing
in The Thurlow Nunn Premier Division)

Unfortunately the teams interest in the various cup competitions this season have come to an end. In the Isuzu F.A. Vase, the team were unable to avenge the previous defeat by Harleston Town, losing by 3 goals to nil.
In the League Cup the team came from 2 nil down to level at 2 goals apiece to force a penalty shootout. However, Pinchbeck United came out on top to win the penalty shootout 7-6.
In the match v Easton, in the Norfolk Senior Cup, this also went to a penalty shootout. After being 2 goals to one down, and down to 10 men, the team came back to level at 2-2 and had a chance to win the game in normal time but unfortunately had a penalty saved. So the match went to a penalty shootout and Easton came out on top by 4-1, with their goalkeeper making a couple of superb saves.
In the league the tide has seemed to turn with back to back wins against Stowmarket Town and Long Melford, sending the team up from bottom to 15th place in the league table. The next few weeks will be pivotable, with games against teams also in the bottom half of the table.

RESERVE TEAM (playing in The Fosters Solicitors Anglian Combination Div 4
North).

The reserves have had mixed fortunes in two cup competitions. Firstly in the CS Morley Cup 1st round they walloped KLSC Res 8-0 and certainly avenged the league defeat suffered earlier in the season. However, in the next round the reserves were drawn away to Prostar Windows and unfortunately were on the wrong end of a 2-7 defeat.
In the Norfolk Junior Cup 1st round they beat Wymondham Town (who play 2 divisions higher in the Anglian Combination) convincingly 2-0. In the next round they have a home tie v Ingoldisthorpe. With the two league games won during September the reserve can boost on keeping a clean sheet throughout the whole month of September - a great achievement.

RECENT LEAGUE RESULTS

Watton United Res - away won 6-2 (note ; played 5th Oct)

Only the following fixtures have been released so far (when going to press):-

U18’s TEAM (playing in The Thurlow Nunn Youth Football League - North Division)

The next draw will take place on Saturday 26th October, in the Social Club after the home match v Kirkley & Pakefield k.o. 3pm ( 2 prizes up for grabs £50 & £25). Winners will be announced in next month's Newsletter.

The 2025 “50/50 Club”

November sees the launch of the 2025 “50/50 Club”. This year we have had 150 participants and it would be great to surpass that figure next year and the target is 200, which will then give us the opportunity to increase the monthly prize money (which currently stands at £50 & £25 per month). Numbers from “No.1” are available to buy for a one off annual payment of £13 per number. There will be 12 monthly draws starting January 2025 with 2 prizes every month apart from December when an extra prize will be added. You can purchase as many numbers as you like and the size of the prizes will depend upon how many numbers are sold. Your number(s) will be entered into every monthly draw, so you could possibly win more than once throughout the year. The first draw will be Saturday 25th January (in the Social Club after the home match v Long Melford). You can reserve/request a number by contacting Denis Cooper via:-
Heacham FC Supporters Club Facebook page
Personal message on Facebook
E-mail : deniscooper06@aol.com
Payment to be made by Tuesday 7th January 2025 and payment can be made by cash or by bank transfer (account details/sort code and ref will be made available upon request).
Note: Anyone who currently has a number in the 2024 draw will get priority to retain that number for 2025 if they wish to do so.
Keep a lookout for flyers at home matches, in Heacham Sports & Social Club and around the village.
